IQ
IQ Claim Services Tools & services for claims professionals
A claims-industry software company

Tools built by people who've actually done the work.

A decade owning a restoration business. Years as a large-loss adjuster for one of the country's biggest carriers. Currently practicing public adjusting on complex and high-profile losses — the kind that still require crawling through burnt buildings, attics, crawlspaces, and rooftops.

IQ Claim Services builds software for the people doing this work, because the existing tools are uniformly bad. We also still take claims work directly — because the people building the software should be using it.

Why this exists

Built from three different vantage points, all in the same ecosystem.

Most software for claims professionals is built by people who've never filed one. Most built by people who file claims has never been built by someone who's also fixed the building, or sat across the table as the carrier. We've done all three.

01 / Contractor
10+ years owning a restoration business — actually rebuilding the buildings, dealing with the scope disputes, knowing what an estimate is missing.
02 / Carrier
Years as a large-loss adjuster for one of the country's largest carriers — knowing how claims are reviewed, what triggers approvals, where the friction lives.
03 / Public Adjuster
Currently practicing public adjusting on complex and high-profile losses — still in the field, still dealing with the same broken tools every day.
"I've spent my career on every side of the claims process. I know exactly where the inefficiencies are, exactly which features are missing, and exactly which workflows waste hours of every working day. I'm building tools to fix that — for everyone in the ecosystem who's still doing this work by hand."
The suite

Software for professionals at every step of a claim.

A focused suite of tools built from the ground up for the way claims work actually gets done. Some are released, some are in active development. Each one targets a specific workflow that current software handles badly or not at all.

Released · Open source

Photo documentation

Field-grade photo capture and reporting tool already in use by working claims professionals. Built for the realities of documenting a loss — fast capture, clean exports, and all the features that other tools don't include because their developers have never had to use them on a job site.

Status: Released under GPL-3. New PWA build in testing.
Released · In production

Document workflow

Secure document intake portal that lets clients send claim documents directly to your office without email attachments, dropbox folders, or 50 megabyte messages. Auto-organizes into your storage by client and date. Photo and PDF compression done right.

Status: Production. Currently in private use by claims professionals.
In development

Depreciation recovery

Tooling for tracking, computing, and recovering depreciation across complex multi-line claims. Designed to handle the cases that off-the-shelf tools simplify into uselessness — multiple structures, mixed coverage types, partial recoverable amounts, and the edge cases that always seem to come up on the claims that matter most.

Status: Active development. Targeted release in coming months.
On the roadmap

More coming

Several additional tools targeting other workflow inefficiencies are in earlier-stage development. Each one comes from a problem encountered repeatedly in actual claims work, prioritized by how much time it saves and how badly the existing tools handle it.

Status: Reach out if you want to be notified as new tools are released.

Built for the boots-on-the-ground professionals, not enterprise carriers.

This software is built for the individuals and firms doing actual claims work — public adjusters, independent adjusters, restoration contractors, claims consultants, appraisers. The people without the budget for enterprise software contracts and without the patience for tools designed for someone else's job. If that's you, this suite is for you.

Claims practice

We also still take claims work directly.

Building software for claims professionals while not also being one would mean losing touch with how the work actually changes year over year. We still take direct claims engagements across estimating, appraisals, public adjusting, and consulting — for both commercial and residential losses, of all sizes and complexity.

Estimating

Detailed scope and cost estimates for losses across structure, contents, and additional living expenses. Drawn from a decade of restoration experience.

Appraisals

Independent property appraisals for insurance disputes, including complex multi-line and high-value losses where standard adjustments fall short.

Public adjusting

Representation for policyholders on claims of any size. Specialty in complex, high-profile, and large losses requiring deep technical and procedural understanding.

Claims consulting

Advisory engagements for restoration firms, attorneys, public adjusting practices, and policyholders navigating complicated coverage scenarios.

Licensed and operating in Texas. Available for engagements anywhere our licensure permits.
